About the Role


Shine Bright Mental Health is seeking a calm, organised and people-focused Administration & Front Desk Officer to support our Men's Mental Health & Youth Hub in Hervey Bay, while also providing administrative support to our Sanctuary program.

This role is the first point of contact for people accessing the Men's Hub, including walk-in clients. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and professional environment, supporting intake processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

This is a non-clinical role, working closely with clinicians and program staff within clear boundaries and trauma-informed practice principles.


Key Responsibilities

* Front desk and reception support for walk-in clients
* Creating a calm, respectful and welcoming environment
* Supporting completion of intake, consent and contact forms
* Managing bookings, calendars and schedules
* Processing referrals for the Men's Hub and Sanctuary
* Data entry and record management using ShiftCare
* Administrative support using Xero (admin tasks only)
* Supporting clinicians and program staff with documentation and coordination
* Monitoring client flow and escalating concerns to clinical staff when required


About You


You are someone who:

* Is organised, reliable and professional
* Communicates clearly and respectfully
* Can remain calm in emotionally sensitive environments
* Understands boundaries and confidentiality
* Is confident working in a front-facing role with the public
* Has experience in administration, preferably in health or community services


Essential Requirements

* Certificate III or higher in Business Administration, Community Services, or equivalent experience
* Experience in an administrative or reception role
* Minimum 3+ years of administrative experience required
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Confidence using digital systems
* National Police Check
* Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Australian citizenship required


Role Details

* Classification: SCHADS Award – Level 2, Pay Point 3
* Pay: $35.87 per hour + super
* Hours: 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
* Location: On-site at our Hervey Bay Men's Hub
