Key Responsibilities of the Accountant Role
* Prepare Monthly Financial Statements: Create profit and loss reports, variance analysis, and commentary for export and production division operations.
* Develop Production Costing Schedules: Manage cost of goods sold (COGS), margin analysis, and export-related cost allocations for vessel-based invoicing.
* Manage Reconciliations: Oversee export sales reconciliation, shipping-related accruals, multi-currency accounts, and foreign exchange management.
* Monitor Currency Accounts: Track foreign receivables, exchange-rate impacts, and settlement processes for annual cash flow forecasts.
Additional Accountant Responsibilities Include Statutory Reporting, Taxation, and Compliance, as well as Inventory Management.
* Statutory Reporting: Assist with quarterly and year-end statutory reporting obligations, including compliance with relevant regulations.
* Taxation and Compliance: Prepare and submit taxation and compliance reporting related to export operations.
* Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory-related financial data, production inputs, and costing records for informed business decisions.
