We are currently recruiting as Quality Engineer‐FullStack for an 18‐month fixed term contract, based in Sydney. You will be part of an Application Development team that is responsible for supporting the Requirements gathering and Governance for multiple projects under development and enhancements.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer‐FullStack, your responsibilities include:
* Lead end‐to‐end business analysis activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and project managers to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
* Conduct requirement gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and brainstorming sessions to identify business needs and process improvements.
* Prepare and maintain User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and Source‐to‐Target Mapping (STTM) documents.
* Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications for development and data engineering teams.
* Lead requirement clarification sessions and provide functional guidance throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, root‐cause analysis, and feasibility studies for new enhancements and system changes.
* Work closely with cross‐functional teams in Agile and Waterfall environments to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
* Coordinate with QA teams to validate test scenarios, test cases, and data reconciliation processes.
* Analyze large datasets using advanced SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and business insights.
* Support projects by providing transformation logic, mapping rules, and data quality standards.
* Work with Azure Data Services including Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse for data analysis and reporting requirements.
* Collaborate with offshore and onsite teams to streamline communication and improve delivery efficiency.
* Mentor junior business analysts and team members by providing guidance on requirement analysis, documentation standards, and best practices.
* Participate in client discussions and stakeholder presentations to provide project updates.
* Support digital transformation and automation initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
* Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards during project implementation.
* Contribute to strategic planning, roadmap discussions, and solution design initiatives from a business analysis perspective.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills:
* Experienced Lead Technical Business Analyst with 13+ years of experience in business analysis, data governance, requirement gathering, stakeholder management, ETL/data transformation projects, and delivering enterprise data‐driven solutions across Agile and Waterfall environments.
* Strong experience in Business Analysis, Requirement Gathering, and Stakeholder Management.
* Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
* Hands‐on experience with Source‐to‐Target Mapping (STTM), ETL processes, and Data Transformation Logic.
* Experience working with Azure Data Services including Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse.
* Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
* Ability to translate complex business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
* Experience conducting gap analysis, impact analysis, root‐cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and decision‐making skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
* Experience coordinating with cross‐functional teams including Development, QA, Data Engineering, and Product teams.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within tight timelines.
* Strong experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and requirement traceability.
* Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and reporting platforms.
* Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
* Ability to mentor junior analysts and lead business analysis activities across projects.
* Exposure to automation initiatives, AI‐enabled solutions, and digital transformation programs.
* Strong documentation skills including BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Process Flows, and Functional Specifications.
* Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders and act as a bridge between business and technical teams.
* Self‐motivated, detail‐oriented, and capable of working effectively in fast‐paced environments.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
* Full‐Stack Development Knowledge: Exposure to designing and developing full‐stack applications, including UI, API, services, performance, and data layers, is beneficial for this role.
* Containerization Experience: Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as containers, is advantageous for integrating automated tests into the DevOps pipeline.
* Micro‐Services Architecture: Exposure to micro‐services architecture is helpful for designing and developing automation solutions across the entire application architecture.
