The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic System Specialist – Tooling to join the Process Engineering Services team on a 12‐month fixed‐term contract.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and maintain CAD models and drawings for tools and jigs that meet the requirements provided by the engineers.
• Use judgment and interpretation over the short term to solve problems and establish the best solution to move forward.
• Balance priorities of tasks based on overall project timelines and escalate any concerns about constraints, conflicts, persistent delays.
• Complete tasks independently with general supervision.
• Communicate clearly and simply technical information to stakeholders.
• Work with other tool designers and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D CAD modelling software.
• Knowledge of AS/ISO drawing standards and GD&T principles.
• Experience with Creo and Windchill.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Cochlear products, processes and manufacturing environment.
