About Lorikeet
Lorikeet is the most powerful customer support AI for complex businesses like fintechs, healthtechs, marketplaces, and delivery services.
We’re building a system based on the premise that most support responses should be automated with transparent, customizable AI. Support teams should focus on managing automation and engaging with complex cases, not handling high volumes of simple tickets. Once freed from reactive support, we aim to help teams provide personalized concierge services to their customers.
Our approach combines powerful AI systems with well-designed tooling, leveraging Jamie’s experience as an early member of Google’s generative AI team and Steve’s experience at Stripe, along with team members from Stripe, Canva, Atlassian, Dropbox, and Dovetail.
We are growing rapidly, with paying customers, real revenue, an exciting roadmap, and a strong sales pipeline. We are funded by leading VCs and angels, including Blackbird, Square Peg, Claire Hughes Johnson, Cristina Cordova, Bob Van Winden, and Cos Nicolaescu.
Our global customers include:
* The largest telehealth company in Australia,
* The largest bank for teens in the US,
* One of the largest NFT marketplaces by trading volume,
* One of the largest Web3 gaming companies,
… and other enterprise clients handling over 1 million support tickets annually.
What’s unique about this opportunity?
* Warm, mature, in-person, flexible culture. We value low ego, high trust, working together in our nice Surry Hills office, and flexible hours to accommodate life outside work. We encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds and prioritize user obsession and eagerness to learn over traditional credentials.
* High pay, high expectations, high performance. We aim to match unicorn/scale-up salaries and offer significant equity. Our team receives monthly updates shared with investors, emphasizing our ownership culture.
* On the technical cutting edge. We’re defining what an AI-first SaaS product looks like, working on the frontier of UI/UX and data models. Our tech stack includes Typescript, React/Remix, PrismaORM, NestJS, and some Python. Knowledge of these is nice, but we value engineers who can learn new languages quickly.
* No nonsense recruitment process. It involves informal chats with Steve and Jamie, followed by a ~two-day paid trial where you work with us to ship features. This helps us and you determine if we’re a good fit.

* Address complex design challenges creatively and efficiently.
* Test and iterate designs with customers.
* Collaborate with product teams on scope and delivery.
* Maintain and develop components and UX patterns for our design system.
* (Bonus) If experienced with Webflow or graphic design, help update our website and social graphics.
You might be a fit if you
* Have 2-10 years in product design, especially in B2B software that simplifies complex concepts.
* Aspiring to manage a design team of 3+ by 2025.
* Enjoy making scope decisions and championing design.
* Are proactive in customer engagement and understanding our product deeply.
* Have experience managing stakeholder relationships, including external customers.
* Possess strong communication skills, able to explain technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
* Excited about AI and integrating it seamlessly into user experiences.
If you don’t fully meet these criteria but come from an underrepresented background, we strongly encourage you to apply. We believe diverse teams perform better and reflect a broad spectrum of identities and experiences.
