**About the Role**
You are responsible to achieve optimum production and financial outcomes through a consistent and strategic approach to delivering asphalt works and pavement patching activities with effective supervision and scheduling of both a direct and subcontractor workforce.
Key accountabilities include:
- **Health Safety Environment and Quality** - ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, driving HSE practices and seeking continuous improvements
- **Service Delivery** - take a lead role in meeting with the client and providing innovative solutions, planning and scheduling of teams work to meet required outputs, providing leadership in the delivery of works, engage with Traffic Management Centre for proposed road restrictions, managing QA in accordance with QA Management Plan, monitoring and analysing time and resource utilisation, conducting toolbox talks
- **Leadership** - sharing of knowledge, provide mentoring and guidance, development of team, decision making, promoting whole of life cycle approach to management of all assets
- **Teamwork and Collaboration **- personal accountability, persistent with improvement ideas including team member buy in to ideas, maintaining productive stakeholder relationships and attend daily pre-start meetings as necessary
**About You**
- Education
- Cert III Road Construction & Maintenance or approved equivalent (essential)
- Cert IV in Supervision (desirable)
- Technical Competencies
- Extensive Traffic Management knowledge
- Extensive Surfacing / Construction / Road Maintenance experience in a leadership or supervisory position
- Experience
- 10+ years asphalt and sealing works experience
- Basic to intermediate use of Microsoft Office
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritise, meet targets and deadlines
- Understanding of standard subcontracting arrangements, including time, quality, cost and claim requirements and the ability to manage subcontractors
