The Audit Governance team plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decision‐making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards. This is an 18‐month fixed‐term contract.
What role will you play?
Support the implementation of diverse, highly visible initiatives, partnering with teams across Finance, Tax and the broader Macquarie group to develop commercial solutions while managing risk. Provide valuable insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Responsibilities include supporting the implementation of group‐wide policies and frameworks within Finance, engaging with internal and external stakeholders on governance and controllership matters, developing high‐quality Board Audit Committee reports, assisting other Finance initiatives in an advisory capacity, and uplifting the Finance control framework to ensure robust financial governance.
What you offer
* Commerce/Accounting degree and professional accounting qualifications
* 3+ years of post‐qualification experience, preferably within financial services or professional services
* Strong communication skills and demonstrated proactivity, problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
* Experience in managing multiple workstreams collaboratively and autonomously, and prioritising tasks to execute on key deliverables within agreed timeframes
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship‐building skills to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across all levels
* A self‐starter with an adaptable and agile mindset, with a genuine interest in understanding Macquarie's corporate structure, businesses and operating environment
