Job Description NBN is Nine's regional news arm, reaching audiences across Northern NSW and into Queensland.
With bureaus in the Central Coast, Tamworth, Lismore, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, and Taree, it broadcasts from a state-of-the-art studio in Newcastle, where it's been based for 60 years.
NBN is also a key talent pool for the wider Nine Network.
Are you an experienced ENG Camera Operator ready to capture compelling stories and visuals for a leading news organisation?
We have an exciting opportunity available in Port Macquarie, as a Specialist ENG Camera Operator to join our team and collaborate closely with reporters, producers, and editors to deliver top-notch content for both online and television platforms.
Day to day you will: Proficiently utilise broadcast camera equipment to gather and deliver accurate, engaging visual and audio content that meets broadcast standards.
Apply strong knowledge of editing software (Premiere Pro, AVID) to craft cohesive packages, VOs, and VOSOTS for news, sports, and weather segments.
Effectively employ storytelling techniques to enhance the narrative impact of visual content and maximize audience engagement.
Collaborate with the team to stay current with evolving technology and practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of news gathering operations.
Ensure all content maintains strict accuracy and adherence to established broadcast standards.
Maintain an approachable demeanor to foster strong working relationships and effective team collaboration.
Qualifications What you'll bring: Proven experience as a Senior ENG Camera Operator with expert proficiency in operating broadcast cameras and essential audio gear, including advanced recording techniques.
Expertise in editing software (AVID, Premiere Pro) with the proven ability to efficiently craft compelling packages and news content.
Highly adaptable to the fast-paced, constantly evolving nature of broadcast news gathering.
Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster and additional hours as required to meet essential coverage needs (because news never sleeps, unfortunately).
Demonstrated success in a demanding broadcast environment.
Possesses a valid driver's license.
