Your New Role
Classroom and Learning Support (CLS) provides resources and assistance to students with disabilities and additional learning needs, creating an inclusive learning environment. CLS staff collaborate with classroom teachers to identify and address student needs, offering tailored support such as direct instruction, small-group work, assistive technology, and behaviour-management techniques. CLS also delivers professional development to teachers on inclusive practices.
Responsibilities
Assist teachers and students in and outside the Learning Spaces
Assist with the supervision of small groups and/or individual students during activities, as directed by the teacher
Undertake specific tasks with individuals or small groups under the guidance of the teacher
Provide toileting and supervision for students during break times (on a shared roster)
Support the use of technology by students and teachers
Assist students with physical, medical or mobility challenges

Essential Criteria
Teaching Assistant experience preferred
Clear understanding of how you model Catholic faith
Clear understanding of how children learn and how to support this in everyday practice
Experience working and supporting teachers and students in contemporary learning classrooms
Evidence of technological skills
Team-oriented with ability to work with others
Additional qualities or skills you can bring to our school
Undergraduate study in education encouraged
NSW Working with Children Check
Will undertake National Criminal History Check
Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A) or working toward accreditation
