Job Summary:
This is a fantastic opportunity within CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Projects team. The role will be responsible for generating and delivering technical project work with a focus on EV, solar, and BESS projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and generate project opportunities from within a set portfolio of global maintenance contracts;
* Provide technical due-diligence feedback on opportunities in the EV space;
* Work cross-functionally with the broader Projects Teams to ensure internal alignment on timing, scale, and location of deployment;
* Liaise with key stakeholders on their requirements and explain feasibility of their schemes to become a trusted advisor in energy projects;
* Work with developers, designers, and sub-contractors to define and document scope(s) of work(s);
* Ensure the projects are commercially viable and satisfy the commercial terms of the contract;
* Manage, run, and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required. Carry out full tender analysis of all sub-contractor returns;
* Identify, reduce, and manage all statutory and commercial risks associated with the project(s) being led;
* Ensure CBRE WHS and Quality practices and processes are fully embedded and compliant in each project;
* Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) "end to end" including but not limited to estimating, business development, quantity surveying, direct procurement of sub-contractors by trade category, sub-contractor management, and site manager duties as the Head or 'Principal' Contractor.
Requirements:
* Knowledge in requirements of EV and or solar/BESS infrastructure installations;
* 2+ years' experience of delivering EV installations;
* Proven Project Management experience in a construction or critical environment;
* Proven experience of running a P&L;
Desirable:
* Experience and knowledge on fuel forecourts including WorkPlace Clearance Group (WPCG) requirements;
* EV knowledge – DC hardware requirements, load management, electrical standards EV;
* Exposure to civil/electrical construction activities in hazardous environments;
* Recognised technical qualification in construction, electrical – Engineering or trade background preferred;
* Recognised qualification in Project Management preferred or working towards;
