We specialise in FPGA-based software defined radios (SDRs) combining deep firmware, software, and hardware expertise to deliver high-performance systems.
With a strong foundation in FPGA firmware and software engineering, we are expanding our in-house capability to design and manufacture custom SDR hardware.

The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Engineer with an interest in high performance embedded hardware and SDR technology. In addition to design, you’ll be involved across the full hardware lifecycle, including assembly, testing, debugging, and support through manufacture.
The role will be full-time, based in Melbourne.
Applicants must be Australian citizens who are eligible for an NV1 security clearance.
· System-level capture and decomposition of complex electronic designs
· Detailed schematic design covering digital, power, and RF circuits
· Complex multi-layer PCB layout
· Assist with in-house PCB assembly for prototypes and low volume runs
· Collaborating with firmware and mechanical engineers during design, bring-up and product support
· Design custom production test fixtures
· Perform PCB bring-up, fault finding, characterisation, and design verification
· Support product development from concept through to manufacturing
· Support internal R&D efforts through rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept builds
Skills & Experience
Essential
· A Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline
· 5+ years of electronics design experience
· Experience with PCB design workflows
· Strong hands-on bench skills, including testing, trouble shooting, evaluation, and measurement
· Clear communications skills and the ability to communicate across disciplines
Nice to have (but not essential):
· Experience using Altium Designer
· RF design and layout experience
· Design of production test jigs and fixtures
· Supporting new and existing designs through production
· Designing to relevant industry standards
· Designing for EMI and EMC
