Executive Support Nursing Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Support Nursing Leader to join our senior leadership team. This role is responsible for providing strategic support to the Director of Nursing & Support Services, driving excellence in clinical governance, patient safety, and quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, with experience in organizational change management, project management, and human resource management. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead projects that strengthen hospital-wide operations, enhance patient outcomes, and improve staff experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Providing strategic nursing leadership and executive-level operational support.
* Implementing and monitoring key nursing initiatives aligned with SESLHD and NSW Health priorities.
* Driving excellence in clinical governance, patient safety, quality standards, and workforce capability.
* Preparing and presenting executive-level reports, briefings, and project updates.
* Collaborating across clinical teams and corporate services to achieve integrated patient care outcomes.
* Representing nursing services on hospital committees, including safety and quality, workforce, and strategic planning groups.


Requirements

* A registered nurse who holds current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Relevant management tertiary qualification or working towards same, or a combination of study and work experience with a demonstrated commitment to professional development.
* Demonstrated experience and competencies in organizational change management and achievements of measurable outcomes.
* Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimization, and project management.
* Sound verbal, written, and negotiation skills with an aptitude to utilize relevant information technology platforms.
* Recent broad clinical and operational experience within a complex healthcare environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in human and financial resource management and delivery of healthcare services.
* Demonstrated sound knowledge of current clinical practice, its delivery, and models of care.
