Responsibilities
- Support a project management structure of all aspects of project delivery and project controls
- Prepare accurate tendering and delivery programs/schedules that support dependable delivery
- Prepare and validate project reports (internal and external)
- Support project controls practices and ensure compliance with company and client systems, policies and procedures
- Provide advice to project team and managers regarding all project controls related issues, including cost, progress, schedule and change management
- Evaluate impact of change on planned work, including critical path analysis and extension of time entitlements
- Challenge construction proposals to maximise efficiencies/productivity
- Consider delivery methodology and sequencing to identify and provide improvements on the execution plan
- Sub‑contractor support and management
- Adoption of basic modelling software to aid progress reporting and stakeholder communication
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on architectural projects with significant temporary works is highly advantageous
- Leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilities
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Contract, Project, or Construction Management
- High levels of understanding and appreciation in safety, controls and mitigation
- Strong commercial acumen
- Solid programming and scheduling skills (P6 and Asta preferable)
- Experience in a similar role within a Principal Contractor environment
