About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge technology projects? We're looking for a dynamic Project Manager - Innovation, Science & Technology to lead the planning, execution, and reporting of our diverse project portfolio. Working closely with the Science & Technology Manager and a collaborative team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of innovation across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end project management of science and technology initiatives, from concept to implementation and handover.
* Develop roadmaps and business cases for emerging technologies such as AI, additive manufacturing, and assistive tech.
* Evaluate innovation opportunities for feasibility, risk, and strategic alignment.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including industry, academia, and government.
* Track project progress, budgets, and outcomes, ensuring value for money and alignment with strategic goals.
* Support the evolution of S&T frameworks, governance, and knowledge management practices.
* Contribute to broader departmental initiatives and secure external funding where applicable.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Project Management, Innovation, Engineering, or a related field.
* Skilled in applying diverse project methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, Lean Startup, HCD).
* Strong understanding of scientific and technological principles across domains.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
* Experience in Defence, government, or secure innovation environments is highly desirable
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
