About the role
We're seeking a Server Engineer to join our team in Darwin on a permanent basis to maintain and monitor business infrastructure and systems. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to service requests, severity 2 and 3 incidents and incident response times.
Skills & Experience
* Hands‐on technical experience with both Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
* Troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills
* Good working knowledge of NTFS security in an enterprise environment and migrations of large data sets
* Extensive experience with Group Policy including Windows Desktop lockdowns, drive mappings and preference items
* Understanding IT Service Management concepts
* Ability to apply ITIL v3 Foundation concepts within the workplace
* Sound knowledge of multi‐forest Active Directories
* Ability to work in a hybrid environment, solid troubleshooting knowledge for both on‐prem and cloud infrastructure
* Experience with migrations from on‐prem Exchange to Exchange Online would be advantageous
Responsibilities include
* Planning, design, configuration, maintenance, and support of server infrastructure
* Manage a Microsoft Exchange server
* Setup of user accounts and mailboxes along with backup, security, and restoring the files
* Perform routine server maintenance
* Windows Server administration and DNS
* Print management encompassing print server, print queue, and printer administration
* Server builds/management, as well as storage management
* Identify and diagnose errors and resolve these logically in a short time frame
* Resolve complex hardware and software tools
* Considerable experience with MS server security management and operations and patch automation using enterprise patching
