At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia's deepest underground mines.Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.We're on the hunt for a reliable, safety-conscious Underground Storeperson to help keep our underground operations running smoothly.
4 positions are available.About the Role:As our Underground Storeperson, you'll be responsible for managing and distributing parts, tools, and consumables to support our underground maintenance and mining teams.
Your focus will be ensuring timely availability of stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, and working closely with both surface and underground teams to meet operational demands.Key Responsibilities:· Issue and receive parts, components, and consumables underground· Maintain accurate underground inventory records using our stores system· Conduct regular stocktakes and replenishment of critical items· Coordinate with procurement and maintenance teams for timely delivery· Safely operate underground vehicles to transport goods· Follow all site safety and environmental proceduresAbout You:· Previous experience as a Storeperson (underground experience preferred)· High attention to detail and good computer skills (experience with SAP or Pronto is a bonus)· Ability to work independently in a physically demanding and remote underground environment· A strong commitment to safety and teamworkConditions:This is a residential only position on a 7/7 roster.
Successful candidates not already living in Cobar, will be required to relocate.Location:Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.

The mine passed to CRA in 1980 and then to Golden Shamrock Mines in 1992.
The mine was closed in 1997/8 following its acquisition by Ashanti Goldfields and was reopened in 1999 by Glencore.Since 1965 the mine has extracted substantial quantities of zinc, lead, silver and copper, but today, CSA Mine focuses on mining copper, with a silver co-product.Our underground mine produces over 1.1 million tonnes of copper ore and produces in excess of 185,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per annum.
