Area Facilities Manager
The Salvation Army Australia invites applications for the permanent, full-time Area Facilities Manager role within the Property Facility Management Team in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage strategic property plans, including inspections, asset registers, maintenance schedules and compliance programmes.
Oversee reactive works, minor capital projects and vendor performance across the portfolio.
Lead the development of scopes of work, contracts and business cases for property improvements.
Support long-term asset planning (5, 10, 15-year horizons) focused on sustainability, efficiency and lifecycle management.
Represent the Property Department in stakeholder meetings, project planning and regional engagement.
Coordinate lease obligations, make-good works and property inspections for acquisitions and disposals.
Prepare and manage annual maintenance and improvement budgets.
About You
The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative, client-focused team member who can multitask, problem-solve and build strong stakeholder relationships.
5+ years of facilities management experience in portfolios of 150+ properties preferred.
Experience across diverse property types: commercial, institutional (churches) and housing.
Strong understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards, Essential Services, statutory and WHS legislation.
Experience overseeing / project-managing minor capital works (typically under $250k) and contractor performance management.
Proven track record in customer and key stakeholder management.
Proficient IT skills, including facilities management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
