Remuneration: Band 6 salary from $104,133.36 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

Location: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement

About the role

As the Executive Assistant to the Director Corporate Services, you will provide high-level executive and administrative support within the Corporate Services Directorate. This role is critical in ensuring the Director and Directorate operate in a productive, responsive and well-coordinated manner.

You will manage the day-to-day administration of the Corporate Services office, including complex calendar management, correspondence, reporting and coordination of strategic initiatives such as leadership events and planning days. With strong attention to detail and sound judgement, you will maintain high-quality records, establish efficient systems and processes, and proactively follow up key priorities across Council.

What your day will look like

* Managing and maintaining complex calendar appointments and meeting schedules
* Preparing meeting agendas, coordinating materials and tracking action items
* Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely responses and accurate records management
* Preparing draft reports, presentations, correspondence and supporting financial/budget tasks
* Coordinating leadership events, planning days and special projects
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline administrative functions
* Providing responsive, confidential and politically aware support aligned to Directorate priorities

What you will bring

* Extensive experience in a senior executive assistant or high-level administrative role
* Strong understanding of Local Government and the political environment
* Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters with discretion
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
* Experience preparing reports, presentations and executive documentation
* A qualification in business or a related discipline, or substantial relevant experience
* A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach

Current employee policy

Current Wyndham employees who accept a permanent or temporary role of 12 months or more must relinquish any existing casual position with Council, regardless of whether the new role is full-time or part-time. Additionally, employees cannot be absent from their substantive position for more than 24 months. If this occurs, they may be required to relinquish or return to their substantive role.
