Geotechnical Engineer - Open Pit

At our operation, you will be responsible for providing geotechnical support to assist in achieving development and production targets while meeting quality standards. This includes safety, cost, and environmental considerations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with business partners to promote compliance with mining regulations, legislation, and company objectives.
">
* Collect and analyze geotechnical data, including investigation and analysis of rock fall events and ground control issues.
">
* Undertake daily production tasks related to geotechnical engineering, including mine plans, drill and blasting plans, survey instructions, documentation of inspections, and data collection.
">
* Identify and manage geotechnical risks and develop systems to monitor and manage these.
">
* Collaborate with the team to ensure QAQC, hazard maps, and monitoring reports are compiled and issued when required.

About You:
">
">
* Possess a completed Bachelor's degree in Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
">
* Have extensive demonstrated experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
">
* Proven geotechnical experience in an open-cut mining environment.
">
* Familiarity with the Rocscience Software suite.
">
* Working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
">
* Ideal membership of AusIMM (CP preferred).
">
* Possess a valid manual driver's license.
