The Role
You will be basedHume, ACT, andsupervise all workshop operations.
You will look after heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors and plant machinery.
In thishands-on leadershiprole you will supervise our internal team and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors.
What You'll Do
Lead your teamwith hands-on guidance and effective mentoring
Quickly diagnose and repairour modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment
Prioritize urgent breakdownsto minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment
Schedule and coordinate maintenance, ensuring all machinery remains service-ready and compliant
Manage procurement and inventory, raise POs, order parts, track stock, and oversee admin
Maintain accurate recordsof fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation
Serve as the key liaisonfor suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams
Enforce safety & compliance protocols, including inductions, procedures, and contractor oversight
What You Bring
Qualified diesel mechanicwith anHR driver's license(mandatory)
Demonstrated experience withheavy vehicles and plant machinery
Strongprocurement and inventory managementskills
Competency withmaintenance management systemsand basic IT tools
Acalm and adaptableapproach under pressure
Provenleadership experience, managing both employees and subcontractors
Excellentcommunication and stakeholder liaisonabilities
