About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and adaptable Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, based on site at St Vincent's Private Hospital in Fitzroy and East Melbourne. These two inner city sites are conveniently located just a short 10-minute walk from each other. This permanent part‐time opportunity offers a well‐rounded hospital experience, with pharmacists rotating across both the dispensary and clinical ward settings. You will play an important role in delivering patient‐centred care, contributing to accurate dispensing and to clinical pharmacy services on the wards. In this role, you will dispense medications, coordinate inpatient and discharge supplies, and support the day‐to‐day operations of the pharmacy, while partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective clinical care. This is an excellent opportunity for hospital and community pharmacists alike to expand their experience and build clinical skills in a supportive team environment.
Shift Schedule
* Monday: *****am – 7.00pm (East Melbourne)
* Thursday: 1:00pm – 7:00pm (Fitzroy)
* Friday: 8.30am – 5.00pm (East Melbourne)
* Saturday: 8:00am – 12:30pm (Fitzroy)
Key Responsibilities
* Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products accurately and efficiently.
* Conduct medication chart reviews & medication reconciliation and prepare discharge summaries during transitions of care.
* Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays and discharge.
* Liaise with hospital staff to ensure timely and secure medication supply.
* Maintain inventory and support stock control processes.
* Provide medication advice and support to patients, carers, and hospital staff.
* Deliver excellent customer service and uphold pharmacy standards.
About You
You're a dependable and adaptable pharmacist who enjoys working in a fast‐paced dispensary environment and values accuracy, teamwork, and patient care.
Key Requirements
* Current AHPRA General Registration as a Pharmacist.
* Experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy.
* Familiarity with Fred Dispense and PBS (preferred).
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* High attention to detail and commitment to safe dispensing practices.
