Total Generators is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic or Field Service Mechanic to join our team working out of the Cloncurry Branch, Western Queensland. This is autonomous opportunity is working closely with our highly motivated local team to support growth in the Julia Creek, Cloncurry, Mount Isa and Winton Regions.
This role offers a high level of equipment variety, responsibility and is perfect for someone who enjoys travelling to customer sites, maintaining equipment, and ensuring reliable energy supply to critical operations.

Key Responsibilities
* Field servicing and maintenance of diesel generators (4–50L capacity).
* Engine diagnostics, fault finding, tuning, basic fabrication, and 12/24V electrical work.
* Travel across Western Qld to customer sites, ensuring consistent energy reliability.
* Represent Total Generators with professionalism and pride in workmanship.
About You
* Trade qualified Mechanic or Diesel Fitter or extensive non-trade experience.
* Experience with Kubota, Cummins, Perkins or Isuzu engines preferred.
* Generator experience highly regarded – guaranteed interview.
* High level of personal presentation and customer service focus.
* Able to work independently, manage time effectively and basic management capabilities.
* Willing to travel, work overtime and adapt to remote working conditions.
