Research Fellow/Senior Research Officer in Heavy Industry Decarbonisation
This role is part of the Net Zero Australia project, focusing on decarbonisation pathways for Heavy Industry. You will work on detailed technical modelling and evaluation of existing and emerging decarbonisation pathways.
The position involves:
* Developing a nationally impactful research program on Net Zero Transitions through producing high-quality research outputs and publications.
* Seeking and managing competitive research funding to advance joint projects.
* Contributing to knowledge transfer and commercialising research outcomes by applying best practice research methodologies.
* Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and achieving teaching quality as indicated by approved surveys and outcomes.
* Demonstrating expertise in supervising students in engineering or energy disciplines.
* Effectively managing staff in line with university policies and demonstrating leadership through mentoring and committee involvement.
You may be required to complete pre-employment checks including right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, mandatory immunisations etc.
The successful candidate will contribute to the wider Net Zero Australia project, a collaboration between The University of Queensland, The University of Melbourne and Princeton University.
