The role of a Transmission Lines Technician involves developing, maintaining and providing practical and technical expertise in transmission line work. This includes inspection, maintenance, repairs and construction of transmission line assets within the company's transmission network, with the aim of delivering all elements of these tasks as required to meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure safe and effective work practices are followed at all times.
* Support the development and mentoring of apprentices and junior technicians, providing performance feedback for their growth.
* Work effectively in a team environment to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems – Transmission and or Distribution Overhead.
* Transmission and or Distribution line trade experience and ability to interpret schematics.
* Allocation to a standby roster to provide afterhours standby services and respond to system incidents.
