Overview

The Operations Transformation & Reform department sits within AEMO's Operations division and has a pivotal role to drive forward the strategic transformation of operational capabilities to ensure readiness for evolving systems and markets. The department supports and enables Operations to manage energy system challenges through reform, technology, innovation and international best practice adoption. It is responsible for embedding a culture of agility and responsible change that enhances system and market operations and serves as a critical interface between AEMO and external stakeholders. You will be a central point of coordination and support to ensure operational teams effectively and efficiently manage risk and compliance obligations, acting as a bridge between operational teams and enterprise risk & compliance, streamlining communication, managing documentation, and tracking regulatory and technical requirements that support power system and market operations across Electricity and Gas. The role can be based at any of AEMO's offices.

Responsibilities

* Act as the primary liaison between operational teams regarding corporate compliance, ensuring timely and accurate information flow.
* Maintain and update compliance documentation, registers and tracking systems to ensure obligations are met (primarily via the GRC system).
* Prepare and submit risk and compliance reports to senior management visibility and as evidence for audits and regulatory reviews.
* Lead process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency of risk and compliance management across electricity and gas functions.

Qualifications

* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Experience in compliance management, documentation management, or regulatory reporting, ideally within the Energy sector or a similarly regulated industry.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
* Proactive approach to identifying and resolving process gaps or inefficiencies.
* Data analysis experience highly regarded.
