**About the role**
To support our success we are looking for an Insurance Specialist - Trustee Review to join the Insurance Services team based in either Brisbane or Melbourne.
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for independently reviewing declined claims and underwriting decisions and other decisions considered adverse to members on behalf of the Trustee. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and that the service provided to members is in-line with Australian Retirement Trust's internal requirements and cultural expectations.
We have four positions available, one as a **permanent** opportunity, two as a **12 month max-term/ secondment** opportunity and one as a **6 month max-term/ secondment** opportunity.
**About you**
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
- Demonstrated experience in claims management/assessment and review based on the associated legislation that operates within the superannuation environment.
- Genuine passion for customer service and the ability to inspire and lead others to outstanding customer experiences.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering, analysing and interpreting information and drawing sound conclusions.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills and dispute resolution technique.
- Ability to negotiate and liaise at all levels in a sensitive and appropriate manner, representing the members and the clients' interests with integrity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - competent at producing Trustee Board recommendations and reports.
- High level of technical competence in Insurance in Superannuation.
- Understanding of how to identify, assess and escalate risks according to the Risk Management framework.
- Knowledge of the objectives of risk management and compliance demonstrated by prompt identification and escalation of issues relating to job function.
