What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"
You will be responsible for providing support to the legal department and local leadership by reviewing contracts/agreements for the region; providing appropriate revisions to customer/supplier/vendor contracts; and negotiating and finalising the agreements to the execution phase, ensuring documents are signed by the suitable Convergint signatory. Position works closely with Sales/Operations personnel to review the Contract / Scope of Work. This role also assists with compliance-related tasks and governance matters across the region.
The role:
* Review, propose appropriate amendments to, and manage the execution of customer, supplier, and vendor contracts. Also assists with the management of large key contracts, including timelines for, and the preparation of, documentation in relation to Notices of Delay, Extensions of Time and Variations in respect of these key contracts
* Identify and escalate contractual risks to the General Counsel, providing recommendations on mitigation strategies.
* Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Operations) to ensure contract alignment with business objectives.
* Develop and implement contract management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk exposure.
* Maintain a central repository for contracts in the Legal SharePoint; tracks status of negotiations and key deadlines.
* Assist with supporting and monitoring regulatory compliance obligations, including Modern Slavery Act compliance, privacy laws, and corporate governance policies. Supports the business in connection with its proposed Reconciliation Action Plan.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required by the General Counsel.
What You'll Need
* A tertiary qualification in Law/Business, or related field (eg Construction).
* Minimum of three to five years of contract administration, proposal development, legal operations or related experience required.
* Strong understanding of contract law, compliance frameworks, and legal documentation.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with external and internal stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated.
* Customer service and detail-oriented.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
