Our company is in an expansion phase and requires a skilled artisan to help us grow. The successful candidate will be based in our busy food establishment, where they will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure equipment and premises are clean and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Verify the quality of raw materials and accurately measure ingredients
- Prepare dough and pastry goods through various processes such as kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping
Prepare pastry fillings
- Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times
- Coordinate the production of bread, rolls, and pastry products, including loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling
Glaze buns and pastries, and decorate cakes with cream and icing
- Operate machinery used for rolling and moulding dough, and cutting biscuits
- Maintain baking trays, tins, and other equipment by emptying, cleaning, and greasing them
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Hold an AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
- Possess skills and experience in making Dholl Puri, Buryani, and Boulettes to complement Creole cuisine
**Benefits:**
- Competitive salary range: $75,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
- 12 hour shift schedule
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mandurah, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Education and Experience:**
- Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
