As a key member of the Strategy, Policy and Building Contract Management (BCM) Team, you will oversee and administer the PQC System which is Queensland's whole-of-government register of prequalified building consultants and contractors.
What you will be doing:
• Provide leadership and direction to the PQC team on PQC prequalification issues.
• Administer the PQC Registrar inbox and coordinate associated business activities within the PQC team e.g. applications and queries received from industry; requests for information from government agencies; other issues in relation to the PQC System.
• Manage the assessment of contractor and consultant prequalification applications and the review of their prequalification status.
• Approve contractor and consultant prequalification applications.
• Lead and guide the PQC team with registration issues e.g. complex business structures, licensing issues.
• Lead the PQC team and guide agencies with system issues relating to the operation of the PQC Portal.
• Lead, support, and train staff to enhance their abilities as well as proactively manage their work performance.
• Proactively identify and implement system and process improvements.
• Monitor, review and document work practices and processes to facilitate continual improvements in operational efficiency of the PQC System.
• Communicate effectively with government agencies, regulators, building contractors and consultants.
• Undertake reporting and communication activities in relation to category management and the PQC System.
• Maintain a general awareness of legislation, government policies, building industry trends, and current developments relating to individual contractors, trade contractors, and consultants.
