Team and Overview
The Department of Health's (DoH) Infrastructure - Asset Management Unit is responsible for the statewide lifecycle management of the complex and critical built infrastructure that supports the delivery of health services in Tasmania.
The Role
The Manager will implement and apply an Asset Management Systems approach to ensure built infrastructure is managed to meet current and future health service delivery needs. The position provides asset management advice to operational Facilities and Engineering Teams across the state and supports these teams in the implementation of statewide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead improvement to the Department's Asset Management maturity by implementing an Asset Management Systems Approach aligned to the International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM) and ISO55000 suite of standards.
* Manage the implementation and operation of statewide initiatives such as the Asset Information Management System and Maintenance Management System, and statewide maintenance contracts.
* Undertake detailed asset condition assessments, identifying priority works based on risk assessments, and develop a delivery program that meets legal, regulatory, contractual, DoH and infrastructure requirements.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, providing community health, mental health and primary healthcare services to more than 300 sites. Details of Appointment
Permanent full-time, day worker; working 76 hours per fortnight (hours to be negotiated).
Salary
$139,470 to $148,863 per annum, plus 12% superannuation contribution. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
