About NCH Connect
NCH Connect is a growing company specialising in structured cabling throughout Health and Commercial projects. Our projects range from midsize refurbishments through to large‑scale major projects.
Currently based in Chermside, QLD, we are expanding our operations into Townsville and are seeking skilled professionals to support upcoming project works on a temporary basis (approximately 4–6 months).
About the Roles
NCH Connect is seeking motivated and technically capable Comms Technicians and Electricians to join an upcoming project on a temporary basis.
These roles are suited to hands-on field professionals who can deliver installation, maintenance, fault finding, and support services across telecommunications, electrical, and electronic security systems. You may be required to work across various sites and project environments, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Comms Technician:
* Install, test, commission, service, and maintain telecommunications systems
* Structured cabling (copper and fibre) installations and testing
* Installation and support of network‑connected field devices
* Fault finding and maintenance of integrated technology systems
* Complete documentation, testing records, and reports as required
* Adhere to WHS requirements and company procedures
Electrician:
* Electrical installations and maintenance across commercial and industrial environments
* Fault finding and rectification of electrical systems
* Installation and support of associated electronic and security systems
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
* Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and safety regulations
* Completing required compliance documentation
Skills & Experience Required
For both roles:
* Relevant trade qualification (Comms Technician or Electrical Trade Certificate)
* Current Construction White Card
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a professional approach with clients
* Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and reliability
Additional for Electricians:
* Current QLD Electrical Licence
* Current Driver’s Licence
* Open Cabling Registration (desirable)
Additional for Comms Technicians:
* Open Cabling Registration
* Experience with fibre, networking, or electronic security systems
