About the Role
Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of occupational therapy services to a community-based adult caseload with Acquired Brain Injury.
Duties include:
- Providing occupational therapy services and evaluating best practice within a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintaining evidence based and contemporary practice.
- Implementing innovation to problem solve the needs of people living with brain injury.
The incumbent also assists the Senior Occupational Therapist by:
- Contributing to the development of occupational therapy services within BISA as a member of the occupational therapy team.
- Pursuing evidence-based practice and innovating in service delivery when required.
- Contributing to the skill development of occupational therapy students.
Qualifications / Registrations:
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Skilled Registration with AHPRA.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills incorporating excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
- Current (within the last 3 years) Disability Worker Check and DCSI Child related employment screening/Working with Children check.
- NDIS knowledge / experience.
- Experience in Neurological Occupational Therapy assessment and service delivery with Adults with ABI.
