**Student Support Officer Role Overview**
This key administrative position plays a vital role in supporting the Vocational Education and Training (VET) team. As a Student Support Officer, you will provide strong administrative support to the VET team, serving as a primary point of contact for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Administrative Support**: Provide daily administrative tasks support to the VET team, ensuring seamless operations.
* Record Management**: Maintain accurate student records, adhering to ASQA compliance standards.
* Audit and Compliance**: Conduct thorough audits of student files at course completion and cancellation, verifying accuracy.
* Student Enrolments**: Assist students with enrolments, progress, and certification queries, providing timely and effective support.
* Data Management**: Manage data in registers and ensure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Learning Management Systems (LMS) systems are accurate and up-to-date.
* Meetings and Reports**: Coordinate meetings and prepare reports and documentation, maintaining transparency and accountability.
* Collaboration**: Collaborate with staff and external stakeholders to support VET operations, fostering strong relationships.
* Policies and Standards**: Ensure adherence to all university policies and compliance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant Degree or Equivalent Experience**: A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
* Vocational Education and Training Experience**: Demonstrated prior experience within the Vocational Education and Training sector, particularly a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
* ASQA Knowledge and Experience**: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) training packaging requirements and experience with government-funded programs.
* IT Skills**: Proficient in MS Office program suite and able to work across different computer systems, including LMS's and CRM's systems.
* Communication and Operational Administration**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
* Time Management and Attention to Detail**: Excellent at organising tasks and managing time efficiently, with a strong attention to detail.
* Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities**: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of initiative, flexibility, and proactive solution development.
