Job Title: Inventory Lead
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and maintain Defence inventory, ensuring compliance, supporting shipbuilding logistics, and overseeing stock control within the branch.
This role involves:
* Inventory Management: Oversee stock control, cataloguing, and compliance assurance within Defence logistics.
* Logistics & Warehousing: Manage receipting, outfitting, and storage of Commonwealth equipment and spares.
* Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, hazard reporting, and CHEMALERT account management.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain efficient inventory operations.
* Technical & System Proficiency: Utilise MILIS, SLIMS, and ERP systems for inventory tracking and management.
* Inventory & Logistics Management: Oversee receipting, cataloguing, storage, and outfitting of items for naval operations.
* Compliance & Audits: Ensure equipment and spares align with Defence requirements, conduct safety audits, and manage hazards.
Our work is highly complex and confidential; applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary. In some cases, this may impose restrictions on individuals who are dual citizens, permanent residency, or former nationality of specific countries as outlined in ITAR 126.1.
