Administrative Support Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administration Assistant to join our team in Hobart.


Job Overview

This fixed-term position is a part-time opportunity that will run from September to November. As an Administration Assistant, you will provide administrative support to academic and professional staff, as well as students.

You will be responsible for coordinating financial and operational requirements, including transaction processing and expenditure management. Additionally, you will undertake people management activities, such as leave management and offboarding.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide administrative support and advice based on relevant policies and guidelines.
* Coordinate financial and operational requirements, including transaction processing and expenditure management.
* Undertake people management activities, including leave management and offboarding.
* Organize and coordinate project activities, including planning and coordination of seminars and workshops.


Requirements:

* Familiarity with finance systems and processes, including PurchaseNow, ProMaster, and TechnologyOne.
* A good understanding of university guidelines and procedures, and the ability to apply policy to routine processes.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and organize self to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
* A high level of computer literacy, including competence in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Completion of a diploma qualification in a relevant area or equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
