What Your Chance Entails
As the Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of a large-scale gas-fired power plant project, encompassing the civil, mechanical, and electrical scope of works. This role provides strategic leadership across all phases of the project lifecycle, planning, execution, commissioning, and handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and contractual obligations, and to the required quality and safety standards.
A key responsibility of the Project Director is effective stakeholder management, including engagement with OEMs, government organisations, upstream suppliers, downstream customers, and community representatives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing project team, including Project Managers and discipline leads.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration across all project phases.
- Demonstrate a visible commitment to health, safety, and the environment.
- Champion QHSE standards and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety obligations.
- Ensure delivery meets quality standards and environmental obligations.
- Ensure resource planning, mobilisation, and workforce management are executed efficiently.
- Provide leadership in contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
- Report on project financial performance, forecasting, and risk management.
- Represent the project at high-level meetings, industry forums, and government consultations.
This position is offered on a FIFO basis from any location in Australia.

You bring sharp commercial insight, strategic thinking, and a hands-on leadership style, and are known for building strong stakeholder relationships, including with government bodies and OEMs. With the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of 50+ through clarity, integrity, and a performance-driven mindset, you consistently foster high-impact outcomes across every phase of delivery.
