About the Role
This role focuses on providing peer-based support to individuals in need, leveraging the experience of the candidate to foster connection, trust, and encouragement.
* Deliver personalized support and assistance to help participants regain hope and confidence in securing long-term accommodation.
* Collaborate with clients to achieve their goals within established plans, including accompanying them to appointments and advocating on their behalf.
* Foster healthy relationships between clients and their communities, promoting connections to culture, family, and social networks.
* Represent clients in interactions with government and non-government agencies, both verbally and in writing.
Clients are supported in accessing services and building community connections, with advocacy provided where necessary to service providers.
This position adopts a recovery-oriented approach to empower participants in pursuing their personal well-being, stability, and self-defined objectives.
