We are seeking a dedicated and experienced speech pathologist to join our team in a permanent, full-time role.
This opportunity allows for career development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
They will work as part of the speech pathology team and collaborate with colleagues across the hospital and district sites.
They will also participate in clinical supervision and mentoring to develop clinical skills and career progression.
Additionally, they will commit to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing clinical and professional learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
* Demonstrated core competency skills in managing patients with dysphagia and communication disorders.
* Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery.
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and exercise independent professional judgment on routine matters.
* Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems.
* Current Class C NSW Drivers Licence.
