Job Overview
The Health & Security Assistant is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff in the hospital environment.
* Respond to Code Black incidents and provide security support in high-pressure situations.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing daily cleaning duties and assisting nursing staff with patient care and comfort.
* Escort and transport patients throughout the hospital while providing security and assistance as needed.
* Collaborate with the Code Black response team to ensure effective management of aggressive or high-risk situations.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular rounds to identify and mitigate potential safety risks in the hospital environment.
* Develop and maintain relationships with nursing staff to enhance patient care and comfort.
* Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors to resolve conflicts and de-escalate tension.
* Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in security and patient care.

* You are able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
* Previous experience in healthcare or security industry an asset.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
