Overview
IP Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and outgoing Team Leader/Leading Hand to work with a small privately owned company based in Canning Vale. This company has been manufacturing various plastic products for over 15 years. With a strong knowledge of plastic and its application, and the fabrication of performance plastic products, the Team Leader/Leading Hand role will provide operational responsibility and accountability for the factory operations, including safety of all workers, staff and visitors, as well as operation and maintenance of equipment and productivity of the workforce.
Responsibilities
* Lead and direct the team and participate in any future formalised feedback system
* Ensure safe operations, address/rectify safety issues as they arise, seek guidance/authority when issues are more significant
* Ensure a quality product which is correctly made and fit for purpose is delivered every time
* Ensure operational staff are employed to optimise their contribution to the business daily and to complete required work with minimal overtime
* Develop strong working relationships with the operational team
Qualifications and requirements
* Be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia (No visas)
* Have previous Team Leader or Leading Hand experience
* Have a strong mechanical aptitude
* Hold a current forklift ticket
* Be available to work Monday - Friday 38 hours per week with overtime when required
* Have sound knowledge of the manufacturing industry
Shift information
This position will see the successful applicant trained on both day shift (6am - 2pm) and afternoon shift (2pm - 10pm).
