ABOUT US Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) is growing its secure manufacturing operations in Australia and seeking an experiencedMaintenance Engineering Managerfor our Knoxfield facility. In this hands‐on leadership role, you will build and lead an in‐house maintenance capability, drive equipment reliability, and support production to meet key customer requirements. You will play a vital role in the installation, commissioning, and ongoing performance of new production equipment, including high‐volume personalisation systems.ResponsibilitiesBuild and mentor an in‐house team of technicians, including recruiting, training, and supporting staff growth while creating a culture of safety and reliabilityOversee installation and start‐up of new production equipment, manage Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), and ensure all equipment is ready for seamless productionTake ownership of equipment uptime and reliability, lead problem‐solving and continuous improvement projects, and create smart spare parts and maintenance plansBuild strong relationships with equipment suppliers, negotiate service contracts and support agreements, and coordinate external technical support when neededWork closely with production teams to meet customer commitments, lead troubleshooting and resolve technical issues quickly, and ensure equipment consistently meets service level agreements (SLAs)About youProven leadership and minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering within a manufacturing environment, including managing maintenance technicians or engineering teamsDemonstrated ability to install and commission production equipment, with strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skillsHave exposure to automated manufacturing or industrial production systemsStrong communications (both written and verbal)Outcome oriented, focus on target achievementStrong emphasis on attention to detailAn engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics is highly regardedWhy Join UsOpportunity to lead the development of a new in‐house maintenance functionInvolvement in major equipment installations and production expansionWork with a global leader in secure payment and identity technologySupport critical customer projects in a growing manufacturing operationEqual Opportunity At G+D Australia, we are dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where every employee feels valued and respected.
