The Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced company secretarial or governance professional to join a high-profile government agency at a pivotal stage of growth. Operating within a complex, highly regulated environment, this role supports the Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary and plays a critical leadership role within the corporate secretariat function. The position works closely with the Board, Board Committees and Executive Leadership Team to ensure effective governance, statutory compliance and high-quality decision-making. This opportunity will suit a seasoned Deputy / Joint Company Secretary, or a highly capable Assistant Company Secretary / Governance Manager ready to step into a broader, more strategic role. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted governance advisor to the Board, Committees and Executive Manage end-to-end Board and Committee processes including agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up actions Maintain and enhance governance frameworks, policies, charters and delegations Oversee statutory and regulatory compliance obligations Support legal entity management across subsidiaries and related entities Identify and mitigate governance, legal and reputational risks Draft and review governance policies and Board documentation Deliver governance training and guidance to Directors and senior stakeholders Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and advisors About You You are a confident and credible governance professional with demonstrated Board-level exposure and the judgement to operate as a true deputy to the Company Secretary.
