About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Mechanical Engineers to join our growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers passionate about mechanical design, analysis, and hydraulic systems within the OEM machinery sector.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years' mechanical engineering experience across any mechanical engineering discipline.
Key Responsibilities
* Mechanical Design & Development: Deliver detailed mechanical engineering designs for new and existing products.
* Analysis & Simulation: Perform modelling, analysis, and simulations to enhance product performance and reliability.
* Project Involvement: Support projects from concept through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
* Risk Management: Conduct engineering risk analyses to optimise functional safety and mitigate potential issues.
* Collaboration: Work closely with sales, manufacturing, and our international design team to ensure customer requirements are met and designs are production ready.
About You
* A Bachelor's degree qualification is essential for this position.
* 3+ years' experience in a mechanical/OEM engineering role.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (or similar CAD software).
* Experience in detailed design of mechanical components (ideally 3+ years).
* Ability to perform stress analysis and FEA for mechanical and structural components.
* Understanding of project engineering and multidisciplinary teamwork.
* Familiarity with 3D CAD systems and FEA tools for mechanical/structural analysis.
* Exposure to hydraulic system design and validation and Hydraulic Schematic Understanding.
* Experience with piping stress analysis and relevant codes/standards.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to collaborate across teams and with stakeholders.
* Ability to prepare technical documentation, reports, and design calculations.
* Valid Australian work rights are mandatory for this position.
