Partner with Claims/Assessing leadership to develop people strategies, drive performance, and support HR advisors for business excellence.
About the role
Strategically partner with Associate Directors, General Managers and Senior Leaders of a portfolio within the Claims division. Working closely with the Senior People Business Partner and leveraging strong commercial understanding and relationship management to influence, develop and execute people plans that deliver meaningful benefits. Support leading the way for the People Advisory team to facilitate the implementation of people strategies, creating sustainable and commercially astute solutions for driving business performance through our people.
Position Accountabilities
* Build and deliver the strategic people plan with the department leadership team
* Guide complex/escalated HR cases (employee relations, industrial relations, WHS, Workcover claims, incident management).
* Coach / Mentor People Advisors, supporting business unit outcomes.
* Ensure ER Adviser activity connects with People Advisory and Business Partnering.
* Deliver enterprise-wide cyclical activities such as Rem review, Engagement Surveys, and external remuneration benchmarking.
* Provide expert advice on operating models, organisation design, and structure.
* Guide business leaders through change management.
* Ensure consistent service and policy application.
* Collaborate and support other P&C teams as needed.
* Act as P&C representative/SME for HR activities, policies, and legislation.
* Use people metrics to inform senior stakeholder decision-making.
* Guide business leaders through the company's business case process.
What experience you'll bring
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Law).
* Several years' experience in a Business Partner role.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical ability.
* Experience managing organisational change and building strong relationships.
* Commercial acumen.
* Demonstrated understanding of levers contributing to outcomes (financial, commercial, cultural).
* Significant experience across HR areas, including Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Remuneration, Organisation Development, Learning & Development, and Change Management.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and adaptability.
* Experience building and delivering successful HR programs.
* Ability to use situational leadership to coach and mentor.
* Ability to manage performance, absenteeism, disciplinary, misconduct, health and workplace safety matters professionally and ethically, complying with best practice.
* Ability to research and consult to support business activity and/or case management.
* Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships (consultative style), ideally across multiple locations.
* Expert knowledge of factors influencing an employee's lifecycle, identifying opportunities, risks, challenges and solutions.
* Exposure to recruitment practices and the ability to identify opportunities and challenges.
* Understanding of WHS and Workcover.
* Ability to manage a dynamic workload and prioritise effectively.
* Facilitation experience and ability are highly desired.
* Well-developed understanding of legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations in the FSR environment.
* Relevant Technical Professional Membership.
