Renewal Project Lead
We're looking for a Renewal Project Lead based in Victoria to deliver exceptional store environments for our Kmart and Target locations. The role involves coordinating store renewal projects end‐to‐end — from planning through to execution — ensuring each store meets Kmart Group standards of quality, safety and customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of store renewal projects.
* Partner with key stakeholders across Stores, Merchandising, Replenishment, and external contractors to ensure smooth execution.
* Manage timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver projects on time and to standard.
* Oversee layouts and merchandising requirements to support operational efficiency and a great customer experience.
* Support continuous improvement across renewal processes to drive value and consistency.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you'll have strong retail experience and a practical understanding of store layouts and refits. You'll be organised, adaptable, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
* 3–5 years' experience in a Department Manager, Line Manager or Assistant Store Manager position across a major retail brand, or experience in merchandising or layouts.
* Strong communication and relationship‐building skills. Stakeholder management and conflict resolution are high priorities for this role.
* Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to lead, influence and coordinate teams to achieve great outcomes.
* Flexibility to travel locally and interstate, and ability to work nights when required during projects. Projects typically run 3‐5 weeks with working hours between 10 pm‐8 am; outside of projects, normal working hours and up to 2 days work‐from‐home flexibility.
