Location: FIFO Perth to Iron Bridge Mine (7 days on / 14 days off). Salary sacrifice options available for applicants outside WA. BIBO available for Port Hedland residents. Permanent full‐time role with development and upskilling opportunities. Excellent new facilities – Japal Village.
Responsibilities
* Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output.
* Complying with Thiess policies and procedures.
* Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor.
* Ensuring floor levels are maintained.
* Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances.
* Maintaining stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure flow in a safe and efficient manner.
* Operating, driving and moving material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads.
* Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
* Carrying out pre‐start checks.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience operating a CAT 994 Loader in a production mining operation, including loading at the ROM; equivalent experienced with Komatsu WA or Le Tourneau.
* Possess strong mining operational skills and be able to demonstrate ability in maintaining pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark‐ups and pit configuration.
* Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times.
* Valid Australian driver's licence.
