About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, Budget Performance Improvement Program, this role is responsible for providing strategically leadership of BPIP team, ensuring its effective delivery, ongoingimprovement, and alignment with government priorities anddepartment objectives.
Reporting to the Director, Budget Performance Improvement Program, this role plays a critical leadership function in strengthening financial management capability and improving budgetperformance outcomes across South Australian Government agencies.The Manager acts as a trusted advisor to executives and seniorstakeholders, driving targeted financial improvement strategies,leading complex analysis, and overseeing the effective delivery ofthe BPIP work program.
The role also contributes to whole of government policy work,supports key budget processes, and leads a small, high performingteam of analysts.
About you
To be successful you will have:
* Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgetingor fiscal policy, preferably within a large or complexorganisation.
* Proven ability to lead strategic programs, projects orpolicy initiatives from design to implementation, achievingoutcomes within tight timeframes.
* Strong analytical capability and motivation to pursue andachieve results.
* The ability to think creatively, find innovative solutions,exercise initiative, and apply sound judgement.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the abilityto consult, negotiate and influence across all levels ofgovernment.
* High level written, verbal communication and presentationskills.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field (e.g.accounting, finance, economics, law, business, publicpolicy).
