Job Title
A communications professional is sought after to take on a key role within the council. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering timely, effective and engaging communications across multiple channels.
1. The successful applicant will be responsible for shaping community engagement, managing issues, producing high-quality content, running social media campaigns, and developing communication strategies aligned with council priorities.
2. This includes developing a community engagement framework, leading public consultation activities, delivering content across print and digital platforms, designing key publications, managing media relationships, and supporting major events.

* Candidates should possess clear communication skills, strong creative writing abilities, and a proactive approach to planning and delivering campaigns.
* They must also be able to confidently navigate media relationships, community expectations, competing priorities, and multiple stakeholder needs.

What We're Looking For
* A Diploma or relevant qualification in Communications, PR, Social Science or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in communications, engagement, or community relations.
* Strong skills in digital communication, social media, content creation and publication design.
* Experience managing community consultation, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
* A NT Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a Criminal History Check.
