We're expanding our workshop team and are looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in high-quality work and enjoys being part of a friendly, supportive environment.
About the Role
As a Light Vehicle Mechanic with Simba Car Hire, you will play a key role in keeping our rental fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the road. Your day‑to‑day work will include:
* Servicing and maintaining light vehicles (scheduled and unscheduled)
* Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
* Conducting safety inspections and roadworthy checks
* Performing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
* Maintaining service records and ensuring workshop cleanliness
* Working closely with the operations team to prioritise urgent jobs
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
* Demonstrated experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
* Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
* Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with fleet or rental vehicles (advantage but not essential)
