Myndshift Group have been engaged by our client partner Coxons Group to recruit an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead and coordinate their Rockhampton workshop, ensuring safe, high-quality and timely delivery of work. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about people, process and performance.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Workshop Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and leadership to Leading Hands and workshop personnel. You will coordinate the execution of the workshop plan while maintaining a strong focus on safety assurance, quality output and timeline adherence. This role plays a key part in managing personnel, driving continuous improvement and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide effective supervision and leadership to Leading Hands and workshop personnel
* Coordinate and execute the workshop plan to meet production and delivery targets
* Ensure compliance with safety systems, procedures and legislative requirements
* Drive quality standards and ensure work is completed to specification
* Monitor workflow and timelines, addressing issues proactively
* Support, develop and performance-manage workshop staff
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across people, process and equipment
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are met
About You:
You will be a motivated and practical leader with strong workshop experience and the ability to engage and lead teams effectively and drive accountability.
You will bring:
* Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor role ideally from a mining or OEM background
* Strong people leadership and communication skills
* A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes
* The ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate work in a busy environment
* A continuous improvement mindset and problem-solving capability
* Mechanical trade qualification or relevant industry experience (desirable)
